In place of a big party this year for Rhett's Birthday we took the family out to Lagoon for a stay-cation! BUT - we are working on getting great pictures of his present... a guitar with lessons. All summer long he had been asking for a bike, until about two weeks before his birthday. He became really excited about being in a band when he gets into Jr. High. All it took was his father pulling out the acoustic guitar I had purchased prior to our marriage. He was hooked. And so begin the pleads for a guitar of his own - 'A REAL ONE MOM!' Thus, with much discussion, the guitar and lessons was purchased.
I have to say, my Rhett doesn't get excited how Kenidy and I do - with jumping up and down, screams, and big smiles.... nope. He is a calm, sensitive, kind soul. His eyes teared up, and he got right down to business. I've learned over the years that this is his way of getting really excited. So be on the look out next week for new awesome pics of Rhett and his guitar!
Oh, I love it! He is so dang cute, and I can just picture his face when he got the guitar. Nice kid! Looks like we might have a little variety at the X-mas talent show this year!
