Marin Luther King Jr. holiday

This past week Aaron and I decided that the kids needed to be reminded of their heritage. We decided to spend the day together and visit temple square. We had a great time, and the kids found the water fountains amazing, the statue of Christ beautiful, and was able to learn more about the gospel. We talked with missionaries from London and Spain. Sister Rodriguez from Spain knows one of Aaron's companions from his mission. Small world egh! My favorite moment of the day was when Rhett asked the sister missionaries as we were going up to see the statue of Christ, "How do they make it feel like you are going up to heaven?" I love my tender-hearted children so much!

  1. I wished that I had savored all the temples so close when we lived there. The other day I went to our temple. It is two hours away in Columbia. It takes about 8hrs to get there, do the session and then come home. We need to go more when we visit Utah. Rumor has it that we have enough members to get a temple in charlotte. It is getting enough workers that is the problem. Hopefully they will be able to build one soon. I miss temple square.
