Because it's Easter...

This past week a friend of mine shared an amazing CD with me, Lamb of God, by Rob Gardner. If you love the music from Les Miserables you will absolutely love this CD. Be mindful those who choose to REALLY listen, it is indeed a moving and life altering experience. I listened to it on my way to work and well, I had to reapply my make-up completely.

Understanding what happened to our Savior and to those close to Him in His final week here on this earth and through the time He was resurrected on it's own (through scriptures) is incredible, the music that Rob has put with it.... there are no words (even though I am trying). Please note - this is not an exageration! I recommend you all take a bit of your Easter weekend and listen to Christ's story so eloquently told to us through music by Rob Gardner.

I would like to share the words to one of the songs that lifted my spirit and hope that it brings you hope.

FYI - you can go to his web site or itunes to order or listen.

No. 11 ‘Here is Hope’

MARY (MOTHER)
He who healed our sorrows
Here was bruised and broken.
He whose love no end knows
Here was forsaken,
Left all alone.
Here despair cries boldly,
Claiming this its vict'ry.
Sweeter peace enfolds me:
Hope did not die here,
But here was given.
Here is Hope.
He who was rejected,
He knows well my longing
He, so long expected
Carried our burdens,
Bore ev'ry sorrow:
Here is Hope!

CHOIR
Here is love unbounded,
Here is all compassion,
Here is mercy founded!

MARY
Hope did not die here,
But here was given;
And ours is the vict'ry.
Here is Hope.

Thank you Nicole for sharing this with me. I hope you all have a great Easter weekend and remember why it is indeed a celebration of life and death.

FAAA - CCC- TTT!!!!!

So this weekend Aaron and I had a fun time with some friends up in Lava Hot Springs. We enjoyed sitting in the hot pots, eating at the White Wolf (tempted to play BINGO with the locals), playing Canasta, Golf, & Dominion, and just hanging out. We laughed a lot and had a hard time getting back into the swing of things. It's a good thing the kids didn't have school today or they would have been SOOO late as Aaron and I did NOT want to get up and get back into the daily grind. In any case, I wanted to share some of what was laughed about this weekend. Some of you may have already seen this... THANKS DICOUS & LARSENS for sharing it with us! WE CAN'T STOP WATCHING IT!!! Also.... it is very kid friendly ;D - YEA for clean humor!

Happy New Year...

Yes, I know it is February and that New Years has come and gone, not to mention Valentines Day, my husbands birthday, and well a lot of other things. I also know that I'm starting to lose sight of my new year's resolutions so I thought I'd start all over! SMART, right?! Well - I'm recommitting myself to school today and yes, ALI, say it... say it out loud...
HEALTH!

(OK - I guess I didn't need to scream it!) But, yes, I am going back to the gym. I've been doing really good not to drink pop - still mourning my beloved Diet Dr. Pepper, but none the less - I'm still on the bandwagon! So although I'm not really caring (Well I'm trying NOT to care) about my weight... I'm really just focusing on my health. Being active, and remembering what my mom used to say - It's not what you don't eat, but what you do eat that matters!

SO - HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!

MY STARS!

Take a look close at these videos... my little one's were on TV this Wednesday! WAY COOL!!  Unfortunately we had to wake up WAY TOO EARLY - but they had fun!
First - Kenidy!

Then Rhett...

And finally Roman...

Aren't they cute... OK, so you have to play "Where's Millers" but they have made their television debut! Now they can check off "15min. of fame" from their bucket list - right!? No use in saving it for some crazy thing they do when they're teenagers or worse college kids! NO- I kid, they are the coolest kids around.

Remembering to walk no faster than I can run!

So it's the start of a new semester for all of us in the Miller house hold. It should be a good one as at the beginning of the week I was taking two classes and now am only enrolled into one. I had a major heart to heart with you know who and the scripture about not walking faster than you can run came to mind. I also struggled not being able to be with my kids for a whole day - that was depressing for sure! I love being able to come home and do their homework with them, read with them, make dinner for them, and talk with them about their day. I knew I had to do it (that is drop one of my classes) when I came home and they were climbing in bed, and telling me not to worry cuz they got their 3 chapters in the Doction n' Cobenants read and said family prayers. STAB, STAB, STAB, my heart was bleeding and I KNOW where I was suppose to be and it was not in class.

SO - back to balance, I wish I could do more!

In any case, I did want to share with anyone this amazing YouTube video my professor shared with us. First, what an amazing way to keep people engaged in a lecture that although filled with intriguing information could be taken as a great time to nap! So, please enjoy - and maybe learn? YOU DON'T HAVE TO - but it might surprise you?
